To go to the first message of the wave

End

To go to the last message in the wave

Shift/Tab

Navigate through messages (outside edit mode)

PageUp/PageDown

To go to the next page/previous page within the panel

Space

To go the next unread-message in the wave

Ctrl + Space

Mark all messages unread (when focus on the wave panel)

Left/Right Arrows

Shift focus between inbox and compose window

Messages

Enter

Reply to the message at the same level of indentation.

A new message will appear just below the selected message.

Ctrl + R

Same as Enter

Shift + Enter

Reply to a message at the end of the thread.

The new message will appear at the same indentation level, at the very end of the thread.

If you press Shift + Enter again it’s equivalent to click Done button.

Ctrl + E

Edit the message

Ctrl + Enter

Insert inline reply (While Editing)

Text Editing & Formatting

Shift + Enter

To finish editing a wave. Same as clicking Done button

Ctrl + n

To make the current line is a Heading.

n is a numeric between 1 and 4

Adds bullets

Select colour

Adds a link

Select the url from the browser address bar

Useful to link another wave.

(Example : Highlight a text, hit Ctrl+L, highlight a url or wave id)

Goolge Wave Invite – The Alternate Route

Instead of begging or paying for a Google Wave Invite on ebay you can simply browse the following link, and with a bit of time and effort get one via Twitter! Every few minutes or so someone on twitter has a spare invite to give. Why not make use of it and get yours.

It seems like Google has been secretly creating something spectacular in their labs. The latest screenshots shows us that it’s Google’s intention to integrate it’s services into one slick package. Everything you need will be to hand once this is fully integrated.

According to Michael Arrington TechCrunch, Google OS Beta is supposed to launch in the next 3 days. We will have to wait and see.

Networking On Google Wave

Lets be honest, if you’re not developing a super cool gadget for Google Wave, but are simply waving then the best thing you can do right now is to Network.

You see it’s still easy pickings. The ones with an account can easily build their wave network quickly. It might not be the same in the future. Just as Facebook used to be the next big thing where you added your friends and joined in on the fun. So this is with Google Wave.

Enjoy Google Wave and have fun, but at the same time build your Google Wave contact list. Be specific, network with like minded people.

Search for the right waves. Engage in conversation and make some friends.

To search for a certain keyword (not that keywords are properly indexed yet) insert “group:public@a.gwave.com yourkeyword” into the search bar and hit enter.

Add a friend by clicking on their avatar (picture).
