“We are going to open up Wave to everyone today” – Said Google Wave team leader Lars Rasmussen

This is great news. People all over the internet thought Wave was dead, this is definitely not the case. Google Wave is a great collaboration service. With a huge upside for Businesses in the future.

Google Wave is now part of Google Apps.

This will solve a core Google Wave issue. Google Wave groups and access controls are being discussed in the developer “labs” around the globe.

This will give entrepreneurs and enterprises a huge reason to jump onto wave right now in order to prepare the way. This will make it easier to control your wave, users on the wave and most importantly manage a mail list/newsgroup.

Reader subscribed but admin access controlled reader lists is a NEED for Google Wave.

This is still in early development phase. So just hang in there, it will come!

You see it’s still easy pickings. The ones with an account can easily build their wave network quickly. It might not be the same in the future. Just as Facebook used to be the next big thing where you added your friends and joined in on the fun. So this is with Google Wave.

Enjoy Google Wave and have fun, but at the same time build your Google Wave contact list. Be specific, network with like minded people.

Search for the right waves. Engage in conversation and make some friends.

To search for a certain keyword (not that keywords are properly indexed yet) insert “group:public@a.gwave.com yourkeyword” into the search bar and hit enter.

Not much is known about Google Wave except that there are hopes it will do away with all other forms of collaboration. The way I see Google Wave developing is that it will become a very useful tool to connect different business services onto one platform. This will become more and more popular as more and more businesses use it. This is a system for the big boys, whoever invests time and effort to implement and understand it, will be leading the pack. However, at the moment we’ve not even touched the tip of the iceberg.

Developers have to get stuck in and create reliable secure programs for the Wave system to plug into and connect business services. The important thing will be security. Google Wave will make it possible to do purchases directly via a Wave.

People and businesses will only adopt these game changing methods (as well as keeping the old methods) once it becomes mainstream and 100% reliable and secure.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up right now. We’re still a long road away before it becomes integrative for business structures.

In the meanwhile we need to address the security issues and discuss them.

What we talk about and demand the system to have is what the developers will develop.

The butterfly feeling of Google Wave will soon disappear however, it will come back when Wave services have the ability to grow your business’s bottom line securely.
